Tribal Mission is an indigenous Missionary organization working
among the poor tribal communities giving them a holistic support in social, academic, economical
and spiritual realms. When we serve the most depraved section of the society, to invest in the
various welfare schemes,
We will definitely need money, But….
The founding members of the Mission even at the launch of the ministry decided to keep the
Mission as a purely indigenous Mission, meaning we will not affiliate or associate with any
foreign organization for our financial needs and we raise funds only from people of Indian
origin who will be willing to contribute to our mission activities. God has enabled us to adhere
to this financial policy for the last 50 years.
For all our financial needs, we want always to be God dependent.
We are in the ministry because we know God wants us to help the poor tribal people and Jesus
Himself had said that whatever we do for the least of the people , He counts it as if it is done
for Him (Math 25:40). But being God dependent for all our financial needs also means that
We will let know the believers our needs,
Because this is what the Bible teaches regarding fund raising for missions support.
God’s Modus Operandi in Missions
Many people may wonder, if the ministry we do is according to His commands, then why doesn’t God
quickly provide all the money we need for His work on earth? Surely He could lead some
billionaire who loves Him to write a huge check, financing the completion of the Great
Commission. Or He could help His ministers to stumble across hidden treasures and give it all to
the Lord’s work? But however, perusal of the scriptures reveal that
Our Lord wants His ministers to rely on others for financial support
Needed for the ministry, He entrusts us to do. Jesus, Himself modeled this for us. During the
three years of His full-time ministry He and His disciples had “Joanna the wife of Cuza, the
manager of Herod’s household, Susanna and many others to support Him (Luke 8:3). This is because
Jesus’ primary concern is about restoring relationships,
Between Him and His servants and between His servants and other people who are not directly
involved in ministries. The bottom line with God is not money, but relationships. As we
encourage people give to the work of the Lord,
We also learn many wonderful lessons.
We, in Tribal Mission have in the past received funds from very poor people and it is humbling
for us when we know ow much those poor donors have sacrificed to give to our work. This had
taught us to be careful in utilizing the funds and not misuse their trust in us. Our pride
shrinks and we are humbled from being on the receiving end of generous giving, when we know we
cannot repay but only thank the poor donors and pray to God to bless them. That is how a special
bond is created between us and the donors. We care about them and pray for them; we share news
with them about our ministry, reporting what their gifts has done in the work of the Lord.
Tribal Mission has also learnt that their Missionaries need more than money. They need people
backing them up, praying for the extension of God’s kingdom, engaging with them in spiritual
warfare through giving and intercession. Those who are giving have the joy of participation in
God’s ministry even though they do not directly involve in the Missions themselves.
As our Ministry continues its outreach among various ethnic tribal groups,
• We depend on God to provide donors
• who will give with a cheerful heart so that not only the Mission’s financial needs be met but
also we will build a network of prayer partners.
• We appeal to our partners to donate to the Mission’s needs,
• always reminding them that,
**A closed hand misses two blessings in life: it can neither enjoy the blessing of giving to
others nor receive blessings from a loving God.
AND
**“Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord and the Lord will repay him for his
deeds”. (Proverbs 19:7).
